Sustainability Initiatives
Internal Sustainability Committee
Formed in 1999, our Sustainability Committee continuously pushes the firm toward more sustainable business practices. Recent efforts include offering lawyers and staff incentives to use alternative transportation, and a full office remodel with a focus on sustainability and green practices.
Sustainability Policy
Our Sustainability Policy includes commitments to ongoing education, as well as purchasing practices, energy use and carbon reduction, business travel and commuting, waste reduction and use of green building materials in office space improvements.Oregon Lawyers for a Sustainable Future (OLSF)
In addition to volunteering with OLSF, we contributed to the development of a suite of sustainable practice tools for the organization’s use among the wider Oregon legal community.
Volunteering
Our lawyers and staff contribute time and energy to organizations like the Recycling Advocates, SCRAP PDX, The Street Trust, the Center for Earth Leadership and the Portland/Multnomah County Sustainable Development Commission. Our attorneys have also served on the national editorial advisory board of Sustainability: The Journal of Record. As a result of these practices, we’ve been recognized for our leadership by numerous organizations:
