Overview
Betsy is an associate in Tonkon Torp’s Business Department. She graduated summa cum laude from Willamette University College of Law in 2017, where she was a recipient of the President’s Law Scholarship, a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and an editor for the Willamette Law Review.
While a law student, Betsy worked as a Tonkon Torp summer associate in 2015 and 2016, and as an extern for the Washington County Counsel's Office in 2017. Prior to law school, she earned her M.A. in European History at the University of Hawai‘i, where she wrote her thesis on the International Criminal Court. She also worked in Honolulu, Hawai‘i as a high school math teacher through Teach for America.
Betsy grew up in Nu‘uanu, Hawai‘i where she attended the Kamehameha Schools. Along with her husband and son, she moved to the Pacific Northwest in order to attend Willamette University College of Law. In her free time, Betsy enjoys reading histories and sci-fi novels, camping, hiking, biking, and just generally getting outdoors with her family.
