Overview
Ned practiced law with Tonkon Torp beginning in 1984, and was a partner from 1991 until his retirement at the end of 2019. He had a commercial litigation practice, with emphasis on complex real property, contract, and construction disputes. Ned also served a five-year term as chair of Tonkon Torp's Litigation Department.
He appeared frequently in state and federal courts, handling both bench and jury trials, and also had extensive experience in arbitration and mediation.
Ned's clients included such major companies as Nike, for whom he obtained a federal jury verdict of $1 million in one complex breach of warranty case, and an arbitration award of $3.3 million in another.
In his leisure time, Ned enjoys relaxing with his wife and two daughters, working on their 1893 Victorian home and their Olympic Peninsula cabin, travel, volleyball, skiing, and hiking.
