Overview
Terry is a founding partner of Tonkon Torp. His practice included litigation of product liability, eminent domain, and contract cases.
Terry practiced in the state and federal courts, as well as in the United States Court of Claims and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He served as an arbitrator on the Multnomah County Circuit Court Arbitration Panel starting in 1986.
Terry is the former Chairman of the Board of the American Automobile Association. He also served as the Vice Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors of AAA Oregon/Idaho.
The 1962 recipient of the Heisman Trophy, Terry was also Sports Illustrated’s “Sportsman of the Year.” Prior to entering law school, he played professional football with the Los Angeles Rams and the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. Terry was inducted into the GTE Academic All-American Hall of Fame and received the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award.
Terry’s personal activities include golf, reading, and travel.
