Tonkon Torp Lawyer Elected to Board of Le Monde Immersion School
10.28.2011
Tonkon Torp attorney Shouka Rezvani has been elected to the board of the Le Monde Immersion, a new French language nonprofit seeking public charter school status in the Portland Public School District (PPS).
Rezvani is a member of Tonkon Torp's Nonprofit & Tax-Exempt Entities practice group. She counsels public charities as well as operating and non-operating private foundations on organizational and operational issues. Rezvani also is a member of the firm's Estate Planning practice group, which advises families and business owners about business and succession planning, estate administration and charitable giving. She was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® 2011 for her work with nonprofits and charities, the only lawyer to be so recognized in Oregon.
Le Monde aims to provide a widely-accessible, well-rounded curriculum, with full immersion in the French language. The school's charter application is pending approval by the PPS board.
