Neuman Identifies States With Best Water Plans

An article by Tonkon Torp water lawyer Janet Neuman appears in the May 15 issue of The Water Report, a newsletter covering water rights and water quality in the western United States.Neuman's article ("Western States' Water Planning - The Best Laid Plans: Water Planning in Uncertain Times") analyzes which states have the most comprehensive, broadly-supported, adaptive, well-funded water plans that are currently being implemented.
Considered one of the foremost water policy experts in the Pacific Northwest, Neuman works with attorneys in Tonkon Torp's Water Law Practice Group who handle water rights transactions, water project development, permitting and litigation of water rights disputes for both government entities and private sector clients.
Neuman is past president of the Oregon Water Trust and a former professor and Associate Dean of Faculty at Lewis & Clark Law School, where she co-directed the Natural Resources Law Institute.A frequent speaker and writer on water law and policy, she is the author of Oregon Water Law: A Comprehensive Treatise on the Law of Water and Water Rights in Oregon.
