Neuman Addresses Impact of Climate Change on Water Allocation Priorities
10.18.2013
Janet Neuman was a featured speaker at a seminar for journalists on Climate Change Impacts in the Pacific Northwest, held last month in Seattle. Her presentation, titled, "Water Management Under Climate Change Scenarios," addressed how climate change will add a new layer of complexity and urgency to water management and allocation in the Pacific Northwest, which already experiences competition for water between utilities, agriculture, forests and protected salmon runs.
Neuman is Senior Counsel in Tonkon Torp’s Environmental & Natural Resources Practice Group. She is considered one of the foremost water law specialists in Oregon and is nationally-recognized as a water law scholar.
