Neuman Featured Speaker at Annual Oregon Water Law Conference

Tonkon Torp water law attorney, Janet Neuman, was a presenting speaker at the 22nd annual Oregon Water Law Conference on November 7, 2013 in Portland. Neuman’s presentation, “The Future of Water Projects in Oregon,” focused on funding, regulatory and political challenges for water supply and water treatment projects in the state.
Neuman is Senior Counsel with Tonkon Torp’s Water Law and Environmental & Natural Resources practice groups, which handle water rights transactions, water project development, permitting and litigation of water rights disputes for both government entities and private sector clients. Recognized as one of the Pacific Northwest’s foremost water policy experts, she is past president of the Oregon Water Trust, a former professor and Associate Dean of Faculty at Lewis & Clark Law School and the author of Oregon Water Law: A Comprehensive Treatise on the Law of Water and Water Rights in Oregon.
