Navigating the Rules of Serving on Nonprofit Organization Boards
4.21.2014
Shouka Rezvani, who chairs Tonkon Torp’s Nonprofit & Tax Exempt Entities practice group, was joined by two other Portland lawyers in a recent presentation on the rules and potential traps related to serving on nonprofit boards. The April 8, 2014 seminar was hosted by the Multnomah Bar Association.
Rezvani counsels public charities and operating and non-operating private foundations on organizational and operational issues, and serves on a variety of nonprofit boards. She was instrumental in the founding of Le Monde Immersion, a French language charter school in Portland, and is currently the school’s board chair.
In addition to chairing the firm’s Nonprofit & Tax Exempt Entities practice group, Rezvani is a member of the Estate Planning practice group.
