Janet Neuman spoke on a panel at Drought in the American West: A Symposium on Law, Policy, and Science. She and her fellow panelists discussed planning for drought and managing conflict over scarce water resources. The program was presented by the University of Oregon Environmental and Natural Resources Law Center, Journal of Environmental Law & Litigation, and Oregon Review of International Law.
Jan is Senior Counsel with Tonkon Torp’s Water Law and Environmental & Natural Resources practice groups. She handles water rights transactions, water project development, permitting, and litigation of water rights disputes for both government entities and private sector clients. She is a former professor and Associate Dean of Faculty at Lewis & Clark Law School and the author of a comprehensive book on Oregon water law.
