Sarah Einowski Accepted into Leadership Portland
10.15.2019
Tonkon Torp attorney Sarah Einowski was accepted into the 2020 class of Leadership Portland, an annual program offered by the Portland Business Alliance (PBA) to cultivate and develop community leaders. Selection for the program is based on written applications and interviews. Recent past participants from the firm include Jeff Bradford, Haley Morrison, Jessica Morgan, and Chris Pallanch.
During the course of the nine-month program, 38 rising business leaders from a variety of industries in the Portland community meet once a month to learn about and discuss a broad range of critical issues that affect the region. They gain a deeper understanding of how business, government and community sectors work together to achieve common goals in areas as diverse as arts & culture, local government, public service and healthcare, among others.
Each participant also works on a group "Impact Project" on behalf of a nonprofit. Sarah’s group is working with Morrison Child & Family Services, which provides support to children, youth, and families affected by mental health and substance use challenges. Their Impact Project will result in a pitch that Morrison can use with the business community to develop business sponsors of Morrison. They will also help develop a more robust in-house training program for Morrison employees.
Sarah is a member of Tonkon Torp’s Estate Planning Practice Group. After working as a litigation attorney on trust and fiduciary disputes for several years, she is now applying her business law background to helping clients with wills, trusts and succession planning.
